Freezing moments in time is all I do anymore. Let me explain. Everyone has moments of memories in their lives that stand out… that resurface when primed by a situation or event that we experience in the present; snippets of events with people or pets that are vivid in our mind’s eye. A flash of the past takes us momentarily back in time to re-experience it. You all know what I mean. It happens to all of us. As we get older, it seems to happen more and more. We are still here while many we have known and loved are gone. The water that has passed under our bridge of life has become an ocean of people, places, pets, and experiences that are all mixed together with happiness, sadness, longing, and grief.
I’m also getting older (mid 60s), and have had these experiences of cherished memories popping into my head randomly. Definitely feels like the world is ending.
One of my older sisters, believes we will be living in Heaven on Earth by 2032. I don’t believe I can bear the ever increasing intentional destruction, carnage and human suffering taking place not just in the US, but globally.
Doesn't feel like "the world" is ending to me. On the contrary, it feels like we're at the dawn of a new world - it's just the old one that's passing away. And this new world will be marked by a massive shift in human consciousness; by "the "longest stride of soul we ever took" in Fry's memorable words. And the project is "exploration into God." Humanity has to externalise our inner divinity - our capacity to manifest the "divine" attributes of love, altruism, wisdom, compassion, truthfulness, justice etc. - if we are to survive.
I think it is coming - and this is why the "Elites" are so worried, and why they are doing everything in their power to corral us forever into the old materialist mindset, which their entire power and wealth structure depends upon.
Heartfelt words, Lawrence. My heart aches and I too, find myself reliving happy memories, wishing to go back to simple times when I didn't know evil wanted to take over the world and are now doing a damn good job of it. But I believe we are here in this time for a reason. God gave us free will, we can decide how to finish this story. Sending you a big hug from Italy.
Great thought-provoking post today, Lawrence.. I’m pushing 70 now and tend to agree with your rather bleak assessment of our present world. I try to keep it positive for my young son, but even he suspects things are getting increasingly dire. I feel my worst when I think about the world ahead for him. At least I got my son out of CA - but unfortunately he’ll be going back first chance.
I live with a jabbed person who cannot seem to see any of it. So I am not so much feeling the need to freeze good moments, but rather the need to get out of my city of 30 years, and dissolve our partnership in this little house. Unfreezing, perhaps.
Great words my breach standing friend. FYI. My email is eric@svblessings.com. If you want, send me a note and I’ll email you back with my phone number. It might be worthwhile to have a chat. No issues if that doesn’t interest you, but at our ages new friends are not easy to find. So the offer is open as you wish.
Here are some interesting bits of info which somewhat fit as it relates to some of the comments.
The planet is in the middle of the Grand Solar Minima which started in 2008 and is partly the cause of the extreme weather volatility we have been experiencing. And, unfortunately, it’s likely to continue for the next thirty years. Think Dust Bowl which came in three waves: 1934-1936 and 1939-1940. H/T Melody W.
We are also about to enter the critical period of the 89-100 year Gleisberg Cycle, which has predicted every serious drought (especially in the MW and Plains States) since it was first “discovered” in 1862, but back testing data has led scientist to conclude the cycle is at least 12,000 years old.
The prior cycle coincided with the dust bowl beginning in 1930, with 1935 being considered as the ‘worst’ of the 10 years, at least in terms of drought conditions and dust. Hence 2024-25 will be years 89-90 in the cycle, with serious drought conditions on tap.
So we have the confluence of two rare events. The Solar Minima and the critical 10-11 years of the Gleisberg Cycle occurring at the same time.
My tinfoil hat tells me that there are other things happening outside of the above. But some of it can be explained, or at least plausible explanations found based on actual weather patterns and 12,000 years of history.

Thank God our time is now when wrong
Comes up to face us everywhere,
Never to leave us till we take
The longest stride of soul we ever took.
Affairs are now soul size.
The enterprise
Is exploration into God.

We are moving rapidly toward the return of Jesus the Christ the Son of God. I encourage all readers to turn to Him for salvation.

Oh Lawrence,...I am weeping now...not for you, but with you.
in the end...we are all in a lonely place. I appreciate this. Tom
